This 2-Minute Monday Mindset is for Valentine’s week and improving our love language.
Better Than “I Love You”: Deeper Ways to Express Your Heart
Valentine’s Day is all about love. Whether to a spouse, a partner, a family member, or even a friend.
But let’s be honest—“I love you” is a phrase that’s often overused or underappreciated.
If you want to truly connect, consider saying “I love you” in a different way.
Try this:
- “I’m so grateful to have you in my life”
- “You inspire me”
- “I’m amazed about all you do for everyone”
- “You make the world a better place”
- “You’re the best thing that ever happened to me”
Or how about:
- “Nothing means more to me than us.”
- “Your [kindness, patience, sense of humor — in the blank] is so amazing and so appreciated.”
Words matter. When we take the time to choose phrases that are more specific, they can have deeper meaning and deeper impact, our love language blossoms, becoming more special and meaningful to the one we are saying it too.
So this Valentine’s Day, go beyond “I love you.” Say it with specifics of what makes them unique and special to you.
That’s how they touch your heart, and letting them know it, you will touch theirs, and reminder them why they mean so much to you.
Because love isn’t just spoken. Love is felt.
Happy Valentine’s Week!
And I’ll see YOU at the next 2MMM!
