Episode 34: How B.S. is your Biggest Enemy

No, “B.S.”, is not what you think.

B.S. here means “Bad Story”

Some people feel like they have enemies all around them.

Perhaps some do.

But the real enemy that all of us are confronted with is one – ourselves.

It’s the one enemy we have control over.

Yet it’s the one enemy we often fail to exert that control.

And what does our personal enemy thrive on?

B.S. .. our Bad Story

It’s our internal battle between our rational mind and our self sabotage.

The sabotage wins for most.

That bad story of oh woe is me:

I just don’t have the time.

I just don’t have the money.

I just have to wait for the economy to get better.

            I’m just unlucky.

It’s whatever story we use to justify us having less than what we want.

It’s all B.S.  Those Bad Stories are self sabotaging excuses that stop us from taking action.

Get rid of the B.S. by getting rid of those excuses.

If you don’t have the time, make it!

Start an hour earlier or stay an hour later, or put aside that iPhone or TV for an hour.

If you don’t have the money, find it!

Ask for financing arrangements, use your credit card, don’t let your B.S. stop you from what you know can help you.

Stop YOUR B.S.!

Focus instead on the action steps you believe you need, throw out the B.S., and find a way to make it happen.

Change from excuse oriented, to action oriented.

Here’s my challenge to you this week:

Identify your B.S. … your Bad Story.

Substitute each B.S. with one or more action steps.

Then take them.

Stop the B.S., and you will jump start your success.

Because your own B.S. is YOUR Biggest Enemy!

And I’ll see YOU at the next 2MMM
