The Collaborative Clash

Sharing is Caring 📤

This 2-Minute Monday Healthcare Personal Injury Mindset for medical providers is about how you approach getting higher pay at the same time wanting to grow law firm relationships and your respect.

The Collaborative Clash

It’s not conflict that kills negotiations, it’s how you handle it.

Most medical offices walk away from bill negotiations thinking: “I could’ve done better” … “why was I afraid to push back?”

That’s normal. It’s healers against warriors. Amateurs against professionals trained to negotiate, and win.

But here’s the beauty of personal injury: it’s an industry of pushback; and pushback is being professional.

Attorneys live in conflict … adjusters, defense lawyers, even judges. So the goal isn’t to avoid disagreement. You can’t. It’s to master collaboration while disagreeing.

Why does this matter? Because what you really want are two things:
ROI … a return on your investment of time and talent through higher bill pays; and
ROR … a return on relationships through referrals and reputation.

And here’s the secret: pushback is your opportunity to earn both and show you are a confident pro. The best law firms want providers who can justify treatment and billing and who can hold their ground if challenged or deposed.

Hope doesn’t resolve conflict.
Hope doesn’t raise your bill pay.
Hope doesn’t earn respect.

You need a plan. A method. Whether it’s my DISRUPTIVE Method of negotiation or another method, you need to learn how to turn conflict into collaboration and disagreement into advantage.

That’s how you gain both ROI and ROR.

Because in personal injury, and in life, it’s how you handle The Collaborative Clash that makes all the difference.
