Not Everyone Deserves Your Business

Sharing is Caring 📤

This 2-Minute Monday Personal Injury Mindset for Healthcare Providers, is about revealing business truth.

Not Everyone Deserves Your Business

There’s a harsh business reality for any medical office — not everyone cares whether you profit or succeed.

In personal injury, there are great law firms and great attorneys who truly value who you are, what you do, and will pay you great.

Then there are those who would rather use you, stress out your staff, and prefer you are paid pennies on the dollar even when cases have a great settlement.

How can you tell the difference? – You audit.

Memories get it wrong. Data doesn’t lie.

So gather the data for your Personal Injury segment and all your practice segments conducting your own audit.

Assemble the listing of all your PI patient billings for the year.

What were you paid overall and on average?

How much did you sacrifice?

Which law firms reduced their fees when asking you to take a haircut?

Which law firms took most of the settlements leaving scraps for everyone else?

There’s more to track as well.  Like:

Which law firms take the longest to resolve matters.

Which law firms keep or take attorney’s fees from your MedPay or PIP entitlements?

Which law firms require chasing, aren’t transparent or cause a lot of stress?

All of these things can be measured, and each law firm rated.

That’s what I have my coaching program members do. You should as well.

Don’t guess.

Assemble the data as an official business audit.

Put it in a spreadsheet.

Go over it with your team.

See what the data and your team tell you.

Find out the truth.

And the truth will allow you to make far better business decision.

Remember: You can’t do the mission without the money.

That means, not everyone deserves your business.

And I’ll see YOU at the next 2MMM!

How Medical Providers Are Being Misled About Tort Reform

The plaintiff’s bar is shouting that tort reform is destroying Personal Injury (PI), but medical providers are being misled. This movement, accelerating across the nation, is primarily threatening attorney margins (like the proposed 25% fee cap in California), not provider payments. The truth is, tort reform forces better documentation and ethical practice, actually elevating the value of skilled providers and potentially leading to fairer, faster settlements. Don’t panic—this is an opportunity to clean up the industry.

The Big Bad Insurer Wolf Finally Meets His Match

Across America, insurers like the Big Bad Wolf weaponize denials and “self-help” to bludgeon providers into silence. On October 21, 2025, Florida’s Judge Paul L. Huey refused to play along. His blistering order dismantled an insurer’s attempt to act as judge and jury, exposing a fabricated fraud narrative. This ruling is a courageous call for a national reckoning against systemic insurer abuse.
