Heart Over Headlines

This 2-Minute Monday Mindset is about connecting deeply with others.

Heart Over Headlines

We live in a fast-moving word.

In business, in meetings, on social media, even in conversations with people we respect or love, we often lead with what’s on our mind.  The headlines we see on the news or on social media. The numbers. The facts.  The next item on the agenda.

But here’s the truth: deep connection doesn’t come from your mind. It comes from your heart.

When you speak only what’s on your mind from the headlines you see, people hear information.

But when you speak from your heart, people feel your intention. They feel YOU.

Whether you’re leading a team, delivering tough feedback, thanking someone or talking to your family, don’t just say what sounds right.  Say what’s real.

Speak words that carry meaning and moves you and what you care about. Speak that care, that conviction and that emotion that lives beneath the surface.

Because people forget information. They never forget how you made them feel.

So the next time you’re about to speak, ask yourself: “Is this just on my mind, or is this also on my heart?”

Lead from the heart and then the mouth or typing fingers will follow.

If you lead from your heart:

That’s how business grows.

That’s how trust is built.

That’s how people listen and remember.

That’s how lives are changed.

Remember, heart over headlines.

And I’ll see YOU at the next 2MMM!
